Over the last few weeks, year 3 students have been exploring the topic of towns. Having recycled and expanded their vocabulary to encompass a variety of places in town, it was time to break out different town maps and revisit prepositions of place. Students then went on to discuss what people can do at each place. Later, they also had the chance to chat about their favourite places in town, use adverbs to reflect how often they went there, and share what they personally liked doing there. Finally, students all thought about rules people must follow when visiting different places in town. To wrap it all up, they had the opportunity to write about their own towns incorporating all the language and grammar they had been working on.
